Will Windows 7 Phone Ready For Prime Time SMB?

It is hard to believe that we are close to 20 years in the mobile phone revolution. I remember the "brick" I spent my first job in telecommunications in 1992, and then said that the mobile phone will never be a consumer device, given the large size and high cost of the service. Of course, my initial assessment wrong. As critics who made fun of radio Marconi and Edison's light bulb, are those that are licensed mobile phones seen transformed into a staple of the 21 century. I think even the visionary who created the first breakthrough not predict how pervasive and varied their invention would become.

Initially, the entire world of cellular communications was about voice. If you need to do and the way in which there is no need to stay in a phone booth (remember those?) With piles of change, or "calling card" ticking minutes unreasonably high. How convenient to be able to get the phone and call, and it could reach other sites at any time. In the world of business and business to do, there was a lot of emotion and reason to be as quick to respond to our customers. Do not be impressed with the customer, answering them, when you are going to track your child's fourth grade? Of course they are, and should distinguish themselves as a boy or a girl who knocks five, and at the ends of the right to a happy hour.

As time passed and technology advanced, it was inevitable that more possibilities will be available. Thus was born the text messaging, using a protocol called SMS or Short Message Service. The use of up to 160 characters, a cell phone user can send a short message to another user without dialing. Unexpected product was evolving an entirely new language that some call "textspeak." If you do not know what "cu 2nite?" or "143" (I love), then it means you've been sitting at home in the rotary phone for long!

While fast and extremely popular with teens and preteens, SMS is not used equally well to enterprise applications. Being able to both send and receive e-mail is the preferred form of business communication in writing, but it is not always practical to connect to the Exchange server, Outlook via a VPN or Outlook Web Access. It was therefore inevitable that the mobile phone revolution would capture the e-mail from a legitimate user. An innovative pioneer in the room was a Research In Motion (RIM), a Canadian company that began producing device. Often labeled as to ridicule as the "crack berry" to attract the attention of its fanatical users "complete and total devices that attract instant gratification and access quickly led others to follow.

Originally, Microsoft only easy for users to BlackBerry Connect for corporate email to their pervasive middleware for the exchange. They also allow the exchange to join their top competitor in the mobile solution for the Apple iPhone. However, access was only the first step for Microsoft because it was easy to "push" e-mail devices, without an active connection. In other words, Microsoft has responded to that a little 'sound "duh-doo", which is sent to each device to see if it was their e-mail! So now hordes of mobile professionals can be reached via mobile text message or e-mail.

Take a page from almost every infomercial ever produced, "But wait, there's more!" As we have seen more and more miniaturized chipsets with more power potential to add even more to the composition was gravity pulls on a parachute. So the competition for "smart" phones were on. After RIM's BlackBerry was the iPhone Apple mobile OS, and most recently Google Android OS. In the middle of it was the logical, Microsoft. After all, if you try to make your Microsoft-based e-mail and applications available on your mobile devices, why not create a mobile operating system that seamlessly allows that to happen? Thus was born the Windows Mobile.

The path followed by the development team of Microsoft has not always been smooth. Indeed, early versions are not received well at all, but in recent years, the pace has increased, and Windows 7 Phone is the culmination of these efforts. From late January 2011, Microsoft has delivered two million Windows Mobile 7 handsets for carriers, but the sales figures of this list is somewhat of a mystery. With the number of application developers and sales growth to rise to record on the portfolio of Verizon Wireless, is Windows 7 Phone SMB bring to the table?

As we look at all the skills of the operating system, the interface of Windows Mobile 7 is the first thing that is obvious. The display includes several "Live Tiles' information for quick access and visualization. The display area is home to many information professionals will look first for applications such as Outlook, Office and SharePoint. Gardening information at your fingertips is just one part of the business support unit. There are several advanced features that stand out for business.
